Get Ready for some Indian Loving

Spreading some Indian love: American Idol Season 8 finalist Anoop Desai has just released his first edition of DJ Trauma's "Zero.0"

Anoop tells Billboard, "0 is cyclical, a start and an arrival. I want to play in both fusion and extremes with sound and subject matter"

According to Desai, this set (the first of the three EP's due to be released this year)  veers away from the stereotype album format. He was given total freedom ,together with Calvin Mathews and DJ Trauma, to conceptualize and experiment with music, and it shows. I mean, you can hear the different approaches and modern treatments given to each song. 

• Click OoWee, an infectious track that'll make you dance your ass out. WorthTheWait is a rhythm-infused, cutie boy piece - almost justin Bieber-like. Retention wise? It grows on you.
• Not on your side  presents an integrating mystical sound and feel, it borders between Coldplay and Snow Patrol. Listen to Want Your Love and probably One Republic would tell you their secrets.
• Reverie- a smooth balad that shows Desai's musical vulnerability and vocal control.
